The second installment is brought by Kallax, a new name in the musical world but with years of experience under his belt, which culminate in his official debut EP. As diverse as it gets, Kallax takes his personal, unique sound and vision to new trajectories and unexplored territories with an artistic sensibility rare to be heard.

Each track consists in a different take on well-known electronic music genres. “Basic Tune 01” takes future garage, burial-esque motifs and submerge them into earth-shattering rumbles, switching between moments of urgent tension and emotional breadth. “Warrior’s Code” on the opposite, is a monolithic, no-frills techno missile at 160+ BPM. Designed to destroy soundsystems, this is guaranteed to put on fire any dancefloor when the time will be. “To the ones who lost” is a groundbreaking and innovative take on gqom, where the usual percussions are replaced by distorted, glitching synths recreating its signature rhythms, adding also a contrasting melodic component on top. “Saviour” ends the journey: a simple, impressionistic, yet powerful slice of ambient music that puts emotional intensity to the forefront.

Minimalistic both in approach and execution, Kallax showcases a body of work which is raw and gritty in sound, but exuding a maturity and a confidence that only a true artist at peak form can reach.
